The Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition started back in 2006 during Jackson County’s first round of Garrett Lee Smith suicide prevention grant.
It is made up of members from various sectors of the community such as: mental health care, community programs, behavioral health, hospitals, local schools, youth programs, primary care clinics, parents, concerned citizens and survivors of suicide attempts and loss.
Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition is a non-profit program which works to help bring education to our community, increase awareness around suicide and break the stigma around reaching out for help.
